I think the taste is very different from the fruit we found here in Europe, fruit are mostly imported, and are harvested still unripe and lose flavor. So with this change here and leaving my delight in Brazil, I am suffering of constipation. In short, my remedy was jackfruit in syrup, a delight! . Imported from Thailand, but the same flavor, the tenderness and sweetness like the ones I used to consume in Brazil, it seems to be preserved. We know that canned fruit sometimes don't have the same flavor, but this one (which I bought 6 cans) the flavor is the same, I think the consistency of the fruit, it is very "meaty" you know? Besides the benefit against constipation due to the presence of dietary fiber, there are others benefits as I have been researching, for example: it is anti-inflammatory and healing, helps prevent osteoporosis, soothing cough, is good for the hair and skin due to the high content of vitamins from the Complex B, etc.. You can also make delights out jackfruit. I've had jackfruit juice with water or milk, for me it is always a delight. Heard of mousses and pastries too.
